Prospect Videos: Power Forwards

May 4, 2009 2009 Draft, 2009 Offseason, Videos
I know the small forwards were done a little while ago, but here is the second half of the prospect videos. Here are all of the power forwards that I would like to see the Nets take…remember they are not in any specific order. Well, except for Blake Griffin.
Blake Griffin:
Jordan Hill:
Earl Clark:
DeJaun Blair:
James Johnson:
Jarvis Varnado:
Dante Cunningham:
Taj Gibson:
Jeff Pendergraph:
Notice any similarities between these players? None of these guys are too polished on the offensive end (well, except for Blake Griffin), but all of these guys work their butts off on defense. That’s what the Nets need, a 4 who will play defense, work hard, and rebound. Hopefully one of these guys will be available at the spot we are drafting.

Reading the early articles andmock draft picks, they have the Nets either gtting Earl Clark, and Dejaun Bair(who has said he’d be Rod Thorn’s moose)
Too me Earl Clark needs to bulk up if he’s going to play the 4 for us, sinc we’ve got two tweener boies in Anderson and Yi.
Blair is not a goo freethrow shooter, and has the qualities tat Paul Milsap has, which is something we need, butI feel he won’t be as dominate as he was in College.

Earl Clark also said he wants to be a Net, due to him being from Jersey. The agent he signed also is the agent for Yi and I believe Najera, so if he is there and Blair isn’t I think the Nets will take him. If he ends up being a three rather than a 4, he is still going to be a great player.
As Blair is concerned I love him as a player, and I’d be happy if the Nets trade up to get him if he’s going to be gone by our pick (That’s how much I like him). I know his offense is lacking, but we don’t need that part of his game yet, and he seems like he would be willing to work his butt off.
Best case scenario is we pull a Chicago and end up with the #1 pick. That way we can get the offense and the rebounding associated with Griffin.

wow, excuse me fo my poor typing. so many typos. haha
oh and we are absolutely not getting Blake Griffin. Why must you show his video? We are not getting Blake.
If I had to choose, I’d go With Blair. I’d think he’d be great for this team.

You never know it is a lottery…I agree with you given the choice, I’d take Blair, that is if Griffin isn’t there.
