I was really pondering on this for a long time, but how would you outline the Nets' offseason? I think that if they draft Earl Clark of Louisville to fill the hole at the SF spot, and hind a moose that Rod Thorn is looking for, as well as a backup center and point guard, we'll be good. I was thinking like a Boozer/Bass, maybe Acie Law, and a Kurt Thomas type player will suffice?

Thanks for the comment Cliffy. I first wanted to state I love your Nets blog, always a good read. I really hope the Nets take a serious look at Bass, he could flourish in NJ, and I think we can get him cheaply. Now when talking about Yi, part of me thinks it isn't Yi's decision to make. China isn't like the US where they ask you if you want to play. They pretty much force you. I mean look at Yao, he is always dealing with foot problems, yet he too ends up playing for China at the expense of his team (last year's Olympics is a good example).

I really like the idea of Brandon Bass, the Nets definitely need a "bull" inside. How about Yi again deciding to go play for China? He needs his rest.

Kwame thanks for the comment. I know it is very unlikely that we would get Blake Griffin. I guess that I am just thinking outloud about what would be the "right package"

But, weren't the Clippers wanting to get rid of capspace instead of adding it? And plus, they have a future allstar in Eric Gordon and a rising star in Al Thornton, so I don't see how this even works out. This can only work if we are getting Gordon in return, or Carter comes off the bench, and both scenarios are unlikely. :(

Haha that could be the "right package". If we get Randolph all we gotta do is stick his butt on the bench. We don't need to show any loyalty to him or worry about hurting his feelings. Let him rack up the DNPs, and maybe he will ask for a buy-out.

If we could get the first pick with something involving Vince, I'd be up for it. But if we do something involving Randolph, we fall into the same conundrum as the clippers now, what do we do with Randolph? I love Vince but if we can get Griffin for him, all loyalties are off. The only person we can show loyalty to is Brook at this point. Betcha Donald Sterling would agree to a trade involving Randolph and the first pick for VC and a couple cheerleaders and secretaries haha

Clippers might be dumb, but I think they wouldn't give up the first pick for anything less than anything including Devin or Brook
