Thanks for saving me $22.95 (or whatever the price is).

At least once a week during the past season, Cal would plug the upcoming book on his radio show. I would've been one of the thousands of Memphis fans in line to buy a personally autographed copy, but a funny thing happened... I doubt that Cal could give them away around here now.

And now, we find ourselves graced with the presence of Allen Iverson. Will it never end?

They don't call Memphis "the bluff city" for nothing.

Thanks for the feedback AJ. We obviously have to agree to disagree, but I appreciate the perspective you bring on this. If you can find inspiration from Calipari's story, that's great. Reading his book however, I thought he came across as trite and still bitter - talking about how he had moved on when it seemed he had done anything but.

Not to be negative and I'm sure some of what you are saying has merit but you sound like a bitter homer hater to me. Here is a man that has found the pinnacle of success after hitting rock bottom at the highest of levels and you are degrading it. Also, reaching the top and then crashing is something a lot of people can relate to regardless of what the "money" figure is. I know because I was once a high level manager and was released due to the economy. I was devastated, embarrassed, felt useless, and was also paid a great deal of money to "go away". I didn't have a financial need for awhile...but emotionally I was demolished for a long time. I have since moved on and have regained some of my dignity but it isn't easy.
