Jarvis Hayes is the newest Net suffering from an injury. Shin splints should keep him out a week.
Rafer Alston talks to Ben Couch and says he knows why he’s backing up Devin Harris this year – Devin is an all-star.
A piece in New York Magazine heaps some praise on the Nets rebuilding effort and hints that New York fans might have a tough choice to make if the Nets make their move to Brooklyn.
An editorial in the Daily News asks for yesterday’s court proceedings to be the “last gasp” for Atlantic Yards opponents.
Al Iannazzone says that if he becomes majority owner of the team, Mikhail Prokhorov needs to break the Nets’ lease at the Izod Center and play in Newark until an arena in Brooklyn is ready to be moved into.

to tell you the truth, lebron coming here cannot be ruled out. Many people said, oh the nets won’t go to brooklyn, then Prokhorov comes to finance the team and is a lock for a new arena in Brooklyn. They said the Nets wouldn’t make it to the playoffs back in the early 2000s, and they made two consecutive finals appearances. Anything is possible for this team in my mind, and despite the constant media reports, i think that the Nets will make one (or two) of the biggest free agents signings in the history of this league

well as much as i would hope, its not a lock to move to brooklyn cuz i believe the prokhorov deal is off unless ground is broken b4 2010 starts

Personally, I think the biggest thing that will keep LeBron in Cleveland and not NY or Brooklyn/NJ is that the Cavs can just pay him more via the Bird Rules. Unless the Cavs are a horrible flop this year, why would he leave?

You’re probably right, sadly.
Btw why is there a little smily face in the bottom left corner of every page?

yeah i understand that because he’s treated like a king there and who would wanna give that up? It’s just people ignore the nets like there nothing while focusing on the knicks, who are at the same level of competition for the time being. I’d be happy with Rudy Gay also, hes on the rise…

I like the NY Mag article that suggests Amare as somone the Nets could spend money on. I just don’t think Yi can ever be a starter in this league and a frontcourt of Amare and Brook would just be a total nightmare for teams.
And I honestly have no idea what you’re talking about with the smiley faces Jesse….

if you look in the very bottom left corner of the page there is a tiny tiny smiley face, i promise
