I think that's why I felt so disappointed after last night. If a team just stinks up the joint, you can be more indifferent. I was away this past weekend so I missed the Friday/Saturday games, so this was the first time since opening night where I was really captivated in crunch time. You have to think with one more healthy body (preferably two), this team pulls this out. You can't also discount the lack of Dooling and Jarvis, who aren't stars, but are very solid bench guys.

I was at the game, and the consecutive plays of Lopez's offensive rebound dunk, and Lopez's sick spin move really had the crowd going. I have attended all 4 games, and this was the first time you could feel the collective hope of the few fans there rise, and then the utter gasp of disappointment as we filed out of the arena. Part of me likes to think if we had 2 starters able to play (Yi, Devin, Lee, or CDR) we pull that game out.

I had league pass last year, and I remember how up in arms the talking heads got with how slow the Thunder started last year. People wondering if they would even win 10 games or not. When I watched the games though you could see the fight and effort was there, and the skills would set, and thats how I feel about the Nets right now. I know we prob win 25 games max this season, but we fight and claw every game except the Nugs game. We don't dog it like the Knicks and then grab some nice stats in garbage time. I just still feel in the end T Will will learn how to control his freakish athletics, Brook will learn more post moves, and CDR and Lee will become legitimate 16-20 ppg players.

And if that sounds crazy, I have been breathing in the Jersey toxic aim all my life.
