The day he left Houston was a great day in the life of a rockets fan. He hasn't declined, he's always missed open shots.

Yeah, you can go to our site and search "Rafer Alston" and find a host of articles bashing him. You now feel the pain of a Rockets fan. I'm so, so sorry.

When Rafer (and Bobby) start hitting the OPEN jumpers they're missing, I'll start to believe their putrid performance has nothing to do with disinterest and/or "hitting the wall" as players. You can obviously expect a decline with Alston going from a winning system to a losing one, but this isn't a mere decline - he's fallen off a Mt. Everest-sized cliff here.

Wow. You had to expect Alston would decline at his age, but this much and this fast? Terrible.

Two words: Dwight Howard.

Lee and Alston aren't shooting as well because of the system they're in...and Ryan Anderson looks better for the same reason.

The Magic smartly put together a team of good outside shooters made better by the presence of a dominant center who requires double and triple teams. Teams leave perimeter players wide open. They make a higher percentage of their jobs. Pretty obvious.

Did anyone think Rashard Lewis was going to lead the NBA last year in three pointers? How would HE do in the Nets system?
