"He needs to work on his spot up shooting."

Agreed, but who doesn't?

CDR is better shooter off the dribble which probably is part of the reason why he dirbbles a little too much. He needs to work on his spot up shooting.

This is great analysis on CDR but these problems seem to be the predominant knock on all of the Guards on the NJ Nets.
The biggest factor effecting this is injuries.
This team has been injured since traiining camp.
With most of the starters missing time, efficiency will go down and turnovers go up.
The real key to the Nets offensive efficiency is Yi.
I know thats not what people want to hear but Yis jump shot will create even more space for guards to drive to the basket, and for Brook to get one on one coverage.
That's why teams are using zone against us. No outside shooting.
Also add LFranks and KiKis insistent use of small lineups and not enough post ups.
Post ups make defenses collapse.
Even if Boone is posting up in the middle and everyone sits behind the 3 pt line, it will create space and a double team.
This team really needs to get healthy to be effective and
Brook needs to be treated like he's Shaq
20+ shot attempts every game.
Brook has to get the ball down low early in the gamme and early in the shot clock for the Nets offense to be effective.

CDR's a me first guy. He loves his 20 point scoring nights. I don't expect his assists to pick up anytime soon

Just gotta hope the Nets' coaching staff is making CDR aware of this. It seems like something that can be fixed.
