In regards to the rotation, I know some of it is dictated by who is healthy enough to dress but I don't see the small ball configuration working as they don't have the shooters to go over the top to help spread the floor. Plus, the team really doesn't finish well around the basket.

I also don't understand sitting Harris and Brook.

I believe the Nets need more shooters who are more on the athletic side. The problem with the current picture at the 2 and 3 positions is they can't hit a consistent J. It would be great if they could acquire someone who can hit a consistent J and play good perimter D (right now it looks like Lee might be the only one who can keep someone in front of him). I'd also like to see a 4 - like Oakley who could rebound, play good D, and hit a shot once in awhile.

Andy - judging solely on the first quarter of the season - my inclination would be to use our cap space to target a PF, and a legit shooter who can help spread the floor better. I think CDR and Yi would match-up better, and would be more offensively efficient playing against other team's second units.

It seems like the Nets obviously have a plethora of guards and wing players for the next few seasons.
Harris, Lee, CDR, maybe Dooling and Hayes
The center position is satisfied with Brook.
So do you think that the Nets will pretty much only focus on getting an all-star power forward in the offseason to complement Brook's game? Of course we won't pass up a Lebron or a Wade but the power forward spot is the team's glaring deficit. Even if Yi returns, I see him as a backup PF rather than a full fledged starter. With our collection of guards, a quality PF starter, Lopez and a decent backup for Lopez, I think the Nets can quickly become a better team next year.
