If you put Yi on any other team in the NBA,they will put him on the end of the bench because his defense and his low IQ for doing the little things like blocking out for rebounds,helping out on the weak side on defense,taking a charge,blocking shots,etc.Also the shortest players on the floor is taking it right to Yi.I am tire of him getting a free pass to start,when he don’t deserve it,ask the coach Scott Skiles for the Milwakee Bucks,they was so happy to get rid of Yi,because this guy is so far behind in his understanding of the game of basketball that it isn’t funny!And some of the people that think that Yi is going to be good one day,don’t know the game of basketball!

Great job with the analysis. The only two concerns I have with bringing Yi off the bench is that
a) his confidence may decrease which will make him more ineffective than he already is
b) for some reason, I think Kiki and Del have such a strong affinity for Yi that they would rather keep him as a starter

I think it’s been long due for Yi to stop starting. He doesn’t play a team game, his defense is lackluster and his offense is wildly inconsistent.

I don’t feel comfortable with either CDR or Hayes starting at the 3 which I think shows the team’s glaring need for a starting SF more than any position right now.

Hump does have the poetential to be a long term role palyer which C Lee hasn’t shown he can be anything more than that thus far.

You let Lee and Yi play so they continue to develop. Humphries and Hayes are not long term solutions and are roles players.

Slowdown was LFrank’s strategy and it was and always is the right strategy for a bad team. Stey close, play hard on D and hope to catch a break. When Kiki came in and said let’s run, that’s when the bottom fell out.

2nd Unit Should be as follows:

C/T.Battie or J.Boone
PF/Yi.Jianlian
SF/T.Williams
SG/C.Lee
PG/K.Dooling

This balance for the team along with having players not looking over their head and wondering what they atre doing. This willbring continuity along with some victories.

I don’t know if you read the post or not, but in it, I say that CDR should stay in the lineup, so I don’t know why you are arguing about CDR and Courtney Lee. Courtney Lee isn’t even in the discussion here.

I still don’t see why CDR needs to be benched?
CLee has done nothing all year.
CDR has played out of position at SF all year, meanwhile CLee didn’t earn a starting spot.
CDR has a better FG percentage.
Why reward a player shooting 39%?
There are some numbers that mean absolutely nothing.
Remember when the Nets played Denver and CDR shut down Melo for the 1st half? CDR had 17 in the 1st half.
Remember the last game vs Cleveland? CDR burned Lebron back door 3 times in the first half and played good Defense.
What has CLee shown this year? 2 20 point games
CDR has 10 games over 20 points and 1 over 30…..
Who sounds like bench material?
