Quick Recap: Milwaukee Bucks 108, New Jersey Nets 89

What started as a close game for the first half turned into a runaway victory for the home team, as the New Jersey Nets fell to the Milwaukee Bucks 108-89 in Milwaukee earlier tonight.

  • The Nets were a one man show offensively for most of the game, with Devin Harris leading the way early, and finishing with 25 points and 4 assists on 9-15 shooting, including 3-4 from three.
  • Courtney Lee chipped in with 19 points and 6 rebounds on 8-15 shooting, including 3-5 from three.
  • The rest of the Nets were ice cold, and the team was 39 percent from the field. Terrence Williams started off April with a thud, with 6 points and 4 rebounds on 2-13 shooting. Brook Lopez was 1-5 and finished with 6 points and 5 turnovers, but on a positive note, he did collect 7 assists.
  • The Bucks shot 52 percent from the field and were led by John Salmons with 22 points on 10-13 shooting. Jerry Stackhouse must have woken up in the 1990s, chipping in with 18 points off the bench.

Last nights game is a prime example of why DH will not be the Nets PG next year.
DH was in his hometown last night and wanted to show off. He didn't pass the ball in the 1st half. DH didn't take advantage of Bogut being out. Brook had 5 points! Why can Brookk have a great game vs Duncan but nothing against Mil? Blame it on the diva with the ball DHarris.

well Nets wants to give a lot of time to Lee and Twill, and then Hayes is ahead of CDR in the rotation for defensive purposes, so CDR gets scrap, since there is no way he can play the 1 or 4.

Yi had his regular unspectacular performance since he couldn't hit shots, but that was not out of the ordinary. I do feel though Lopez has had quite a few bad games and it's affecting the Nets. He did not have that many touches in the beginning since Harris was hot, then later in the game just chose to pass to teammates/travel/offensive foul/miss long jumpers.

I don't think Twill's bad game was quite his fault, he threw up a couple of floaters that were questionable, but overall he just did not get much help.

Nets' first quarter: 38 Rest of game: 51

mike,

It's inexplicable. The only given is that for, whatever are his personal reasons, Kiki does not like CDR and will not play him under most circumstances.
The fact that CDR has had good performances in recent games may NOT have helped.

I'll never understand how Yi can get playing time over Boone but CDR can't get anything more than scraps in a blowout.

With Bogut out our bigs were a combined 4 of 20 from the field? Pathetic.
