Terrence Williams’ New Nickname?

So, I got an e-mail yesterday that got me thinking about this topic:

Dear Mr. Pruiti,

The other day I was having a discussion with my friends about the coolest nicknames in sports. After a while, we came to the conclusion that ‘Jedi’ would be by far the coolest; but we could not think of anyone who had it. I would like to give it to Terrence Williams, with your help to spread the word. Lets face it, t-will is very unoriginal. A-rod t-mac d-will k-rod, the list goes on and on for that style nickname. Plus, although this is a corny reason, he is one of the best jumpers in the league, making him a ‘skywalker.’ Of course, I am open to other suggestions from fellow Net fans, but t-will has to go. If you like ‘Jedi’ Williams, help me spread it.

First off, I like any e-mail that starts off with “Mr. Pruiti” it makes me feel much more important than I really am. Second, I really really really like this nickname. What do you guys think? Leave your opinions in the comments, and meanwhile, I will try and get this nickname to stick.

I'm so use to him being called T-Will that no other nickname sticks. I vote for just T-Will. And want to thank him for bringing his basketball camp home.He is a hell of a guy.

not a huge fan of jedi as a nickname. but on the whole starwars line of things what about

Jedi is cool.

My friend from Egypt calls him Tirance which sounds like Trance when he says it. Thought that was funny... Williams does sorta trance his opponents with his slick style. So here's an even more far fetch nickname:

Jedi Trance... lol

What happened to his Louisville nickname: T-Will the Thrill?

While I agree about the over-saturation of firstname-initial/lastname-syllable nicknames, I have used the above all season.

Sometimes, I get crafty and come up with something swashbuckling like; Twilliger McThrowdown.

I certainly don't like 'Jedi'. In part because I don't consider him 'a Jedi'. That's a pretty lofty title even by Star Wars standards, which frankly after the last 3 installments I could use a break from. Maybe when/if he makes an all-star appearance he'd be worthy of that.

But fan-voting on nicknames is really hit-or-miss - just ask Brook (B-Lo) or Devin (The Blur). I would include myself in that mix too - what do I know?

My vote is: Terry the Teratoma ('Lucy Daughter of the Devil' reference anyone?)
