TrueHoop Network Mock Draft: With The 27th Pick, The Nets Select

  • With the 25th pick, the Grizzlies selected Dominique Jones
  • With the 26th pick, the Thunder selected Tibor Pleiss

And now, with the 27th pick in the 2010 NBA Draft the Nets select Jordan Crawford, Shooting Guard from Xavier University:

I would really like to see the Nets go point guard here (since they only have one on their roster), but there isn’t a PG worth the pick at 27.  Because of that, I think the Nets will go best player available and Jordan Crawford is the player who fits that description.  Many NBA fans might remember Crawford as the player who dunked “on” LeBron James, but Crawford is a guy who can really score in bunches, and the Nets are a team that would need a scoring punch off the bench, so the pick makes sense in my opinion.

Now on the clock, Three Shades of Blue, representing the Memphis Grizzlies.

Bosh might be who we should be focusing on though. He has said he wants to be the man.

Look at this team:
.
.
Devin Harris, Dominique Jones
Terrence Williams, JJ Reddick
Wesley Johnson, Courtney Lee
Chris Bosh, Yi Jianlian
Brook Lopez, Solomon Alabi

Do we have enough money to sign Boozer and Lebron? What if Wesley brings Boozer and Boozer brings Lebron? I can see Boozer agreeing to less than a max contract.

The team would look like this:

Devin Harris,Terrence Williams
Wesley Johnson,Dominique Jones
Lebron James,Courtney Lee
Carlos Boozer,Yi Jianlian
Brook Lopez,Solomon Alabi

Even thoug there is only like .01% chance he is taken less thant one he'd never make it past Philly.

Off the Wall...
John Wall said today the following.
-----------------------
"They haven't called it yet, so we'll have to wait until tomorrow," Wall said. "But I feel like I've got a big chance at being the pick."
------------------------
Even John Wall isn't 100% sure he will be the #1 pick. We are not alone... LMAO

Off topic a bit...
Notice how quiet today has been on the "news" front. I guess "playing games" time is over and the "getting serious time" is here.

James Anderson was gone, I presume? He's down to #30 at DX, so I have to ask.

@ Mike

Word is we're buying a pick in the second round to stash somone overseas.

Well, at this point anybody will do. How many players we down to? Six? We sure could use some shooters and we will need a backup PG. I have a feeling we will be importing some Euro talent over the next few months.
P.S. Lets first see who drops in this draft. Somebody always does.
