Lawrence Frank seems like a chill bro (minus the whole “not being a real good coach thing”). With the swine flu on everybody’s mind, chill bros need a way to show other bros some love. Coach Frank knows what’s up.
I mean, I could totally see us throwing down some Heinekens in Hoboken, bro-ing out real hard. He’d tell some hilarious joke and I’d go for the pound and he’d rebuff. ”Swine Flu bro!” I would then knowingly nod as we pound elbows.

So maybe this was the deciding factor for the Nets when they were contemplating whether or not to let Eduardo Najera play?
You guys may have already seen this since it happened the 22nd (the Nets decided on Najera’s National Team fate the 24th), but if you haven’t this is wild stuff. A ticky tack foul (one that wouldn’t even warrant a flagrant foul in the playoffs) lead to some jawing, which lead to some pushing, which lead to some…chair throwing? The crazy thing is that this was just a scrimmage to prepare for the FIBA tournament that started today. They play for real on Sunday (you can pay to watch over at the FIBA site, but if you have ESPN360 you can watch it for free) and things could get real interesting.
It’s a good thing Najera wasn’t there. He would have thrown a punch (you know he’d get involved) and broke his wrist and dislocated his shoulder or something.

This video is pretty old (from Halloween obviously), but I just stumbled across it. It is a video of Ryan Anderson and Brook Lopez just walking around NJ trick or treating.
My favorite quote is from Brook:
“My name is Brook and I want MORE candy” gets hit with Ryan’s sword “uhhhhh!”
This video reminds me of when Brook and Ryan were at Comic-Con. These two genuinally seem like friends, and that is good to see from teammates. Yardbarker, NBA.com, Twitter, or somebody else has to get Brook their own blog/twitter. That would be amazing.

Ed Note: I know I haven’t been putting out my normal work-load the past two days, so that is why this weekend I am going to hit you guys with a bunch of fun videos. We will be back on schedule with the regular content on Monday.
Brook Lopez is a big comic book fan, so the Nets thought that it would be a good idea to send him and his best friend on the team, Ryan Anderson to New York City’s Comic Con. This was a little while back, but I just came across this video…enjoy guys (The Nets are calling this video The Brook and Ryan Show episode 1 – so expect some more of these…awesome)
This best part of this video was seeing how starstruck (he was at a loss for words) Brook was in front of his favorite comic book artist. It’s funny because in my opinion, most people would be starstruck in front of him.
